I'm Kennedy H., the breeder behind Archer Lodge Labradors located in Archer Lodge, NC. As conscientious breeders, we are proud of the loving, smart, beautiful, and sound puppies we’re able to provide for others. Q. & A. with Kennedy

  • Why did you start breeding?

We initially got into breeding because we loved our two Labradors so much we wanted to breed them. From there we learned more and more about the breed standard and how to do things right from our wonderful mentors! We strive to bring healthy and breed standard labrador retrievers to our customers. We use Genetic Testing and OFA's.
  • What makes your program special?

What makes us stand apart is our determination to keep our line healthy and happy. Not only is health testing important but so is socialization and temperament. We work hands on with all of our dogs and puppies to bring you the best of the best.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Nicholas! Our beautiful black lab puppy is now 4 months old, and she has exceeded all of our expectations. Her shiny black coat, loving personality, and playful energy have made her the perfect addition to our family. She’s truly become my little shadow, always by my side, and we adore her! The breeder was wonderful to work with—keeping us updated on her progress before adoption, being flexible about the pick-up date, and always available to answer our follow-up questions. It’s clear they truly care about their puppies and their new families. If you’re looking for a reputable breeder who produces amazing labs, I can’t recommend Nicholas enough!

Nicholas was very responsive even with puppy updates and proving info regarding the puppies! My puppy Charlotte was described by my vet as everything she wants to see in a puppy! She is happy, friendly, and loving! She is a smart puppy as well, and everyone who meets her says she is just beautiful. If you are looking for an English Lab, I highly recommend Archer Lodge Labradors!

Buying a pet online is a nerve racking experience, but Nicholas was able to put me at ease by being very responsive and honest. There were some bumps in the road with delivery that were caused by outside influences, and Nicholas communicated with us every step of the way, which greatly helped to ease our anxiety. Charli “Sugarplum” has been a great addition to our family, and there hasn’t been a dull moment since her arrival. We are extremely happy with her and I’m glad I chose Archer Lodge Labradors.
