These providers have limited access to your information to perform these tasks on our behalf and are subject to contractual obligations regarding the use of your information. Certain service providers may retain and use de-identified and aggregated data derived from your information to improve their services. Third-party communications and AI service providers may process data using infrastructure and subprocessors located in the United States and other countries.

3.5 Safety and Compliance with Law.

4. OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION

4.1 Analyzing your Communications.

We may review, scan or analyze your communications on the Good Dog Platform, including content shared in Group Features, for fraud prevention, risk assessment, regulatory compliance, investigation, content moderation, abuse detection, product development, research, and customer support purposes. Good Dog may use automated tools, including artificial intelligence and machine learning-based tools provided by third-party service providers, to analyze messages and other Member communications for content moderation, fraud detection, and policy enforcement. In connection with AI-powered analysis, message content may be processed and stored by third-party AI providers, and de-identified and aggregated data derived from such analysis may be retained by those providers to improve their services. For example, as part of our fraud prevention efforts, we may scan and analyze messages to mask contact information and references to other websites. In some cases, we may also scan, review, or analyze messages to debug, improve, and expand product offerings. We use automated methods where reasonably possible. However, occasionally we may need to manually review some communications, such as for fraud investigations and customer support, or to assess and improve the functionality of these automated tools. We do not review, scan or analyze your communications to send third party marketing messages to you, and we do not sell reviews or analyses of these communications. Good Dog does not record or analyze the content of calls made through the Call Relay feature or Video Calls made through the Good Dog Platform. Monitoring and analysis of communications for the purposes described in this section applies to text-based messaging only, including, but not limited to, messages sent through Good Dog Messenger and content shared in Group Features.

4.2 Linking Third Party Accounts.

You may link your Good Dog Account with your account at a third party social networking service. The information you provide to us from the linking of your accounts may be stored, processed and transmitted for fraud prevention and risk assessment purposes. The publication and display of information that you provide to Good Dog through this linkage is subject to your settings and authorizations on the Good Dog Platform and the third party site. If you link or share to any third party site from the Good Dog Platform, your use of the third party site will be governed by its privacy policy, which we encourage you to read.

5. PARTNERS

The Good Dog Platform may contain links to other websites, mobile applications, and other online services operated by third parties. These links are not an endorsement of, or representation that we are affiliated with, any third party. In addition, our content may be included on web pages or in mobile applications or online services that are not associated with us. We do not control third party websites, mobile applications or online services, and we are not responsible for their actions. Other websites, mobile applications and services follow different rules regarding the collection, use and sharing of your personal information. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of the other websites, mobile applications and online services you use.

6. YOUR CHOICES

6.1 Access and Update.

You may review, update or delete the information in your Account at any time by logging into your Account and reviewing your Account settings and profile. You are in control over the content we are allowed to use on the Gooddog.com website and you may delete the information in your Account and take your content with you whenever you need to.

6.2 Account Cancellation.

To cancel and delete your Account, you may send an email to help@gooddog.com at any time. Note that information that you have shared with others (like Verified Owner Stories, forum postings, or content shared in Group Features) may continue to be visible on the Good Dog Platform after your Good Dog Account is cancelled and deleted. Additionally, de-identified and aggregated data derived from your communications may be retained by Good Dog and its third-party service providers after account cancellation, as such data does not identify you individually.

6.3 Opt Out of Marketing Communications.

You can always opt out of marketing-related emails by following the opt-out or unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of the email, or by contacting us at help@gooddog.com. You may continue to receive service-related and other non-marketing emails.

If you are a breeder and wish to register for our services without agreeing to receive marketing-related text messages, you may use a landline telephone number when creating your account. You can also send a request to breederteam@gooddog.com and our support team will assist you with such a registration.

You may also opt out of promotional text messages at any time by replying STOP to any promotional message from Good Dog.

6.4 Cookies & Browser Web Storage.

We use cookies and similar technologies to provide, improve, and advertise our services. This may include technologies from partners such as Meta (Facebook), Google, Bing, Pinterest, TikTok, and LinkedIn. These technologies allow us to measure activity, understand usage, and deliver relevant ads. Most browsers let you remove or reject cookies; however, the Good Dog Platform may not function properly if you do so. Similarly, your browser settings may allow you to clear your browser web storage. You may also opt out of advertising and tracking technologies as described in Section 6.7.

6.5 Global Privacy Control.

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals sent by your browser. If GPC is enabled, we will treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA/CPRA"), and similar state privacy laws. When we detect a GPC signal, we will not load advertising or tracking technologies from our advertising partners or send your information to them through server-side integrations for advertising purposes. We do not respond to 'Do Not Track' signals; however, we honor GPC as described above.

6.6 Choosing Not to Share Your Personal Information.

Where we are required by law to collect your personal information, or where we need your personal information in order to provide the Good Dog Platform to you, if you do not provide this information when requested (or you later ask to delete it), we may not be able to provide you with access to the Good Dog Platform. We will tell you what information you must provide to receive access to the Good Dog Platform by designating it as required at the time of collection or through other appropriate means.

6.7 Your Right to Opt Out of the Sale or Sharing of Personal Information.

Under the CCPA/CPRA and similar state privacy laws, you have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information. If we use advertising and analytics partners such as Meta (Facebook), Google, Bing, Pinterest, TikTok, and LinkedIn, certain information about your activity on the Good Dog Platform, such as browsing behavior, device identifiers, and interaction data, may be shared with these partners for purposes of delivering targeted advertising and measuring campaign performance. This may constitute "sharing" of personal information as defined under applicable law.

To opt out, you may: (i) use the "Your Privacy Choices" link available on the Good Dog Platform; (ii) enable Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser, which we honor as a valid opt-out request; or (iii) contact us at privacy@gooddog.com. If you opt out, we will not load advertising or tracking technologies from these partners, and we will not send your information to them for advertising purposes via server-side integrations. Your preference will be stored on your browser and device, and we will remember your choice unless you change it. Opting out of advertising tracking does not affect your ability to use the Good Dog Platform or access any features of the Services. Good Dog does not knowingly share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

6.8 State Privacy Rights.

If you are a resident of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon, Delaware, New Jersey, or another state with an applicable consumer privacy law, you may have the following rights with respect to your personal information:

Right to Know. You may request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources from which we collected it, our business purpose for collecting or sharing it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.

Right to Delete. You may request that we delete the personal information we have collected about you. Upon receiving a verified request, we will delete your personal information and direct our service providers to do the same, subject to certain exceptions permitted by law (such as where retention is necessary to complete a transaction, comply with a legal obligation, or detect security incidents).

Right to Correct. You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you. You may also update your information directly through your Account settings.

Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing. You may opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising purposes, as described in Section 6.7.

Right to Non-Discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights. We will not deny you access to the Good Dog Platform, charge you different prices, or provide a different quality of service because you exercised a privacy right.

Right to Appeal. If we decline to take action on your request, you may appeal our decision by contacting us at privacy@gooddog.com within a reasonable time. We will respond to your appeal within the timeframe required by applicable law and inform you in writing of our decision and the reasons for it. If your appeal is denied, you may contact the attorney general or applicable regulatory authority in your state.

How to Submit a Request. To exercise any of the rights described above, you may contact us at privacy@gooddog.com or by writing to Good Dog, Inc., Privacy Department, 169 Madison Ave STE 77816, New York, NY 10016. We will verify your identity before fulfilling your request, which may require you to confirm information associated with your Account. For requests to access, delete, or correct your personal information, we will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond to verified requests within 45 calendar days, or within the timeframe specified by applicable law. If we need additional time, we will notify you of the extension and the reason. For requests to opt out of the sharing of your personal information, we will process your request as soon as feasibly possible, and no later than 15 business days from the date we receive your request, or within the timeframe specified by applicable law. You may also opt out at any time using the "Your Privacy Choices" link available on the Good Dog Platform, which takes effect immediately on this browser.

Authorized Agents. You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may require the agent to provide proof of your authorization and may still require you to verify your identity directly with us.

Sensitive Personal Information. To the extent we collect information that may be considered sensitive personal information under applicable law (such as government identification or precise geolocation), we use and disclose it only for the limited purposes permitted by law, such as identity verification, fraud prevention, security, and providing the Services you request. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you, and we do not share sensitive personal information with our advertising partners for advertising purposes. Because our use is limited to these permitted purposes, we are not required to offer a separate right to limit the use of sensitive personal information.

Categories of Personal Information. In the preceding 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information, as defined under the CCPA/CPRA:

  • Identifiers (such as name, email address, postal address, phone number, account identifiers, IP address, and device or online identifiers);

We share internet/electronic activity data (such as online identifiers and browsing and interaction data) with advertising partners as described in Section 3.11, which may constitute "sharing" under the CCPA/CPRA. You may opt out of this sharing as described in Section 6.7.

Because we have recently implemented these request-tracking processes, metrics for the most recent full calendar year are being compiled and will be published by July 1 of the applicable year. We update these metrics at least every 12 months.
