I'm Kimberly P., the breeder behind Bayberry Chihuahuas located in Richmond, VA. We specialize in finely bred, quality AKC Chihuahua puppies. We have grand champion and champion bloodlines. Why did you start breeding?
Two main reasons... I love the breed and I started seeing a lot of horribly bred Chihuahuas with eye, joint and heart issues. I wanted to help correct this. Secondly, I wanted to breed small dogs with great conformation to serve as emotional support dogs. I am working with a service dog trainer to make this mission a reality!What makes your program special?
We are a small breeder of Chihuahuas. We do not have as many litters a year as the larger programs, but we are able to spend plenty of time and energy on our litters. We produce for quality, not quantity. We are also working to provide dogs with exceptional temperaments to make great family pets and service dogs!What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include smooth and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, chocolate, cream, fawn, red, blue, chocolate brindled fawn, fawn brindled black, gold, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

“We ask for a $500 deposit & a signed sale/health contract, as well as a signed spay/neuter contract to reserve. Forms at BIRCHANDBURROW. We ask for a $500 non refundable deposit & a signed sale/health guarantee to hold a puppy. You may also make a deposit to gain pick of the litter in an upcoming litter.”

Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

I was extremely nervous about using a breeder, especially one far away. Good Dog made finding Kim with Bayberry Chihuahuas easy. Kim is AWESOME! She shared pictures and videos of my new puppy. I just couldn’t stand the waiting. Kim also recommended a pet transporter, Joy. Joy was also wonderful in bringing our baby home. Our sweet Chula arrived safe and sound. She is just like Kim described. Heathy, happy and chubby! I would most DEFINITELY work with either of those ladies and Good Dog again!!!!
