I'm Kate T., the breeder behind Bernedoodles of Florida located in Ocala, FL. We offer absolutely amazing puppies, from health-tested parents, and color is just the icing on the cake. We just adore our dogs! With a focus on health and temperament, we are able to produce gorgeous, happy, healthy, wonderful companions that are sure to bring endless joy to you and your family!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Our absolute love for the breed is what got us into breeding, the faces of our puppy families when they meet their baby is what keeps us breeding.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our program is so special because we put a large focus on health testing! We want you to add a puppy to your family, that becomes family for many years to come! We also raise our babies on a curriculum and start crate and potty training to create a smooth transition into your home!

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Bernedoodle puppies include tiny, mini, medium, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Bernedoodle puppies include black and white, tri-color, phantom, and merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Kate

Kate has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Kate partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $4,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes up-to-date vacancies, dewormings, microchips, 30 days of Trupanion insurance, and a go-home bag full of goodies! We also start on crate and potty training. All deposits are nonrefundable, but transferable one time.”

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1B), Bernese Mountain Dog Type, PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
