I'm Denise B., the breeder behind Blackwitch Farms located in China, MI. Our dogs excel both in and out of the show ring. They are excellent representations of the breed and have wonderful temperaments. Our breeding program focuses on maintaining the unique characteristics specific to each breed while striving to produce puppies of superior health, temperament, and conformation. We are proud of our dogs and their puppies, and it is always our goal to preserve and better the breed with each litter.

Why did you start breeding?
We brought home our first Pei and I fell in love with the breed. I was showing horses competitively at the time, then also started showing/breeding my beloved Pei at CSPCA till the were recognized by AKC. Since I have been showing and now doing Scent Work, Fast Cat, and am working on Rally next.What makes your program special?
I am very passionate about my Pei and they are my pets first and foremost. They get to go to work with me and enjoy the large play area or hang inside while I work. I do all the heath testing that OFA requires for the breed to CHIC Certification them.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include apricot dilute, black sable, red fawn, chocolate dilute, cream, fawn, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Primary Lens Luxation (PLL), Primary Open Angle Glaucoma (ADAMST10 Exon 17)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Everything went great with getting out to Blackwitch Farms, except for the weather lol. Denise brought all the male puppies plus the mother for us to see. We were given plenty of time to pick out our puppy and the overall experience was fantastic!
