I'm Laci M., the breeder behind Bright Morning Star Pups located in Cumby, TX. We are committed to responsible breeding for the best interest of our dogs and puppies. Why did you start breeding?
Neat story, actually. While camping a toy poodle ran out out of the woods and jumped in our car and stole our hearts. We tried to find her owner but no one ever claimed her. She was our first love for poodles. Through that our Lord provided breeding dogs as a way for me to be able to stay home to raise and home school my children.
What makes your program special?
Every one of our dogs is a member of the family. We love every one of them. (it’s pretty crazy at our house!) All of our breeding dogs are health and genetic tested to ensure they have good genes to produce good healthy puppies. Puppies are raised in our living room with love and exposure to daily family life making the transition to their new home and family very easy.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our Cavapoo puppies are miniature size. Poodle puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Cavapoo puppies include tri-color, sable, blenheim, and black and white. Poodle puppies include apricot, black, parti, phantom, and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Laci

Laci has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $1,200 - $1,700 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"The price includes a health guarantee, registration paperwork if applicable, first round of puppy shots and puppy support for the lifetime of your puppy. A $300 deposit is required to reserve your puppy till they are old enough to go home. I will send pupdates so you can watch your puppy grow and involve you in any decisions that need to be made."

Laci may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Mabel is an AKC registered Cavalier King Charles Spaniel so her puppies will be F1 Cavapoos. She is playful sweet and a born leader. She is epitome of a Velcro Dog. Sticks by my side at all times. She loves people and catches on to new tricks very quickly.

Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
PRA, Cone-Rod Dystrophy 1 (PRA-crd1), Dry Eye Curly Coat Syndrome (CKSID), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Cone-Rod Dystrophy (crd4), Chondrodystrophy and IVDD Risk (CDDY-IVDD), DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Laci was great! She responds quickly to requests about her pups. I spoke with Laci on the phone first. The next day we met in person and she was such a pleasure to talk with. You can tell she really loves her pups and our little Mandy is so affectionate. Mandy has a fantastic little personality and I believe it is because she was raised by a great breeder. The next day Laci inquired how Mandy was doing and how she did through her first night in her new home. I sent her a few pictures of how Mandy and our other dog were connecting. We are very happy with our 10 week old puppy. Laci was very easy to work with and very knowledgeable. She provided us with the delivery items she had promised when we picked up our puppy. Our minature poodle puppy is very active and already can sit on command. He loves to pley with his toys and is well on his way to be potty trained. His personality has literatlly exploded into what can be described as superdog. He is so inquisitive, very busy, plays hard and is very affectionate. Laci blessed us with a wonderful pet.
