I'm Robert A., the breeder behind Chi Chi's Place LLC located in Gray, LA. We are proud of the support we give our buyers and of our commitment to continue to research and enhance the breed standard. It’s been such a pleasure to be able to watch every stage of puppy life! We’re so lucky to be able to do this and match wonderful families with our perfect puppies.

Why did you start breeding?
My wife and I had been trying to have a child and had no luck. Everytime we had a miscarrage we got a chihuahua puppy. In all we had 5 puppies then one day in 2017 my wife got prego and then two of our females got prego. A house full of pregnant women. Lol as we moved forward we found a new found beauty in finding people in search of a bond or love help them find this in one of our puppies. It light our life up and 7 yrs later our lil boy Alex helps us take care of the dogs and tries to keep all the puppies.What makes your program special?
Each puppy is handled and cared for no kennel kept puppies. Great temperments and able to get along with children and cats and other dogs.What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include long and smooth coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are chocolate and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy (ARVC), Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome, Dalmatian Type, Animal Genetics Panel, Spinocerebellar Ataxia (SCA), Cone Degeneration, GenSol Diagnostics DNA Testing
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Robert was very responsive, plenty of knowledge on the chihuahua breed, always sent me updates and pictures of my dog who I called Bao Bao. He always kept me in the loop and communication for me is everything especially when you're planning to adopt from across the states you want to feel a bond to you're new puppy and wish to know how their daily life is while you wait for them to become of age to come home. Robert helped me choose a puppy catered to my needs and wants and you can tell he loves his chi chi family by the level and amount of care and training that goes into them and clearly I can see that beautiful temperament with my puppy. He came with a care package and was puppy pad trained and just overall Im confident to know I am supporting a breeder who cares about their puppys genetics, temperament and overall health and training which was the biggest things I look for in a reputable breeder. Im so glad to have found Chi Chi place and have worked with Robert and his Wife who were a pleasure and treated me like family to bring a great bundle of joy in my life named Bao Bao my sweet baby chihuahua!

+5Robert was awesome to work with. We had alot of questions both about good dog and chihuahuas and he was able to help us and walk us through the process. He was very accommodating when it came to picking up the dog and meeting us halfway. He sent us several videos both of our puppy and his siblings/parents. His dogs are well looked after and deeply loved. We'll probably even come back for a 2nd one.
