About Leny
Our dogs are a huge part of our lives, and we enjoy spending time with them; whether that be through completing our various day-to-day activities together or just cuddling up at night. We want others to enjoy the unique characteristics of this clever, fun, and personable breed. They’re perfect for an active Colorado lifestyle and for sitting with you on your sofa.
What makes Leny’s program special
We travel afar to carefully select our dogs’ mates and do genetic and physical health screenings to ensure that you’ll have many wonderful years with your Mini Aussie. Our dogs work hard, play hard, love hard, and are part of the family. We prepare all of our pups to excel in life. We only have a litter or two a year. We’d be right happy if you’d stop by to sit a spell and talk about some of the best pups around!

We do our best to begin training our puppies to prepare them for success in their new homes. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Basic Manners, Crate Training, Initial House Training, Various Surfaces, Sound Stimulation, Household Desensitization, Various People, Socialized with Other Animals, Socialized with Adult Dogs, and Early Neurological Stimulation.
Puppies are appropriately dewormed, vaccinated, and have a veterinary exam prior to going to their forever homes. They also get their tails docked and dewclaws removed.
We send our puppies home with Microchip, Breed Club Registration, and Food Starter Bag.
Leny offers options to help you easily get your new puppy home.
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
Why Leny started breeding
It all started when we first saw our darling puppy, Willow, that looked like a tiny Bernese Mountain Dog. We’ve always admired the big Australian Shepherds that are known for their work ethic; however, a large shedding working-dog seemed impractical for our suburban home. When we met little Willow, she reminded us of time spent on the ranch in our youth. She was a “real dog” in a more manageable package. It wasn’t long before we collected a couple more. We started researching and set the foundation for our breeding program, and the rest is history.
