I'm the breeder behind Down South Mavericks Dachshunds located in Seminary, MS. We are huge animal lovers and have a special place in our hearts for our dogs. We want to provide top-quality beloved companions. Our dogs are our passion, and we can't imagine spending our lives without them. We are dedicated to achieving excellence and healthy family pets, and we love to raise puppies and prepare them for their forever homes.

Puppy prices range from $1,500 - $2,500 and include a non-refundable deposit of $200. Linda offers Klarna for payment flexibility. Learn more
“Price is determined based on the litter, coat length, and color of the respective puppy. Price is also continguent on limited or full AKC registration. Deposits are non refundable unless the potential buyer experiences a significant life change event and is at the descretion of the seller.”

PRA, Cone-Rod Dystrophy 1 (PRA-crd1)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

As long as I can remember I’ve been against breeding and I’ve always told people to adopt and not shop. As I got older, i recognized the importance of keeping certain breeds alive, bred safely and kept healthy. When looking for a breeder I was searching for a good price, like anybody else, someone who was knowledgeable, professional, and cared about the health and wellbeing of their animals. Linda did that and then some. I searched for months for a reputable breeder and actually drove from central FL to MS for my puppy (about a 16 hour round trip). Linda of course offered me assistance with him being delivered or nannied to me, but I decided to make the drive. Finn is everything I’ve wanted and then some, he’s well socialized and my vet said he is in perfect health. If you want someone who loves their dog like family, Linda is for you. Thank you Linda!

Linda was incredible to work with! She kept me up to date on my puppy with the cutest pictures she’d send every so often & just went above and beyond with the whole process.
