I'm the breeder behind Dumbledore's AKC Mini Dachshunds located in Henry, VA. Our dogs are bred for temperament, color, genetic clearances, and health above all else. We adore each and every one of our dogs and pups and do everything that we can to ensure they are all happy, healthy, and loved!

    I chose to breed Long Haired Mini Dachshunds because they are hard to find and if you find some chances are they are not from a reliable breeder. I want to help fill the gap and be able to raise and breed wonderful puppies that are affordable and healthy!!

What's included

Enrichment and socialization

Our puppies are well behaved and fully socialized by our family of 5 plus cousins and family members that live very close by. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Socialized with other animals, Introduced to people of different ages and appearances, Socialized with other dogs, Daily handling, Socialized with children, Surface & tactile stimulation, Car rides, Various sounds, Car Rides, Outdoors, e.g. rain, Chew, e.g. Bone, Toys, e.g. Ball, Grooming Desensitization, Household Desensitization, also have lots of friends and family who come over to handle the puppies and help out with the puppies daily. I do not take them to public places to expose them to people as they are not fully vaccinated until 16 weeks. , Socialized with Adult Dogs, Socialized with Children, We introduce collar and leash training, Noise desensitization, Crate Training, and Potty Training.

Puppy health practices

All puppies are taken to the vet and thoroughly checked and examined by a licensed veterinarian. They will be given their first set of shots at 6-7 weeks old. I de-worm them at home every 2 weeks until they leave me.

We send our puppies home with Registration, Initial potty training, Puppy starter kit, Toys, Vet records, Basic obedience & manners, Food & treats, Microchip, Microchip, Sound and texture enrichment, Dew claws removed, Our puppies are all sent home with welcome home bags and information. , Vaccinations, Food Starter Bag, and AKC Registration.

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
