About Paige
I was a first grade teacher for 40 years and loved every day of it. What goes better in a room full of youngsters than a Golden Retriever. Since retiring, I have spent my days training my horses and dogs and playing with puppies!
What makes Paige’s program special
Because we wanted calm dogs in our household, calm dogs was our priority. I focused on selecting just the right puppy from the litter, sometimes several litters to get just the right dogs for our program. In selectively breeding for calm, we bred wonderful puppies for therapy/service work. Most of our breeding dogs were in classrooms. Easy care coats and health were two other considerations.

Why Paige started breeding
We got our first Golden in the early 1980's. Tesla (after the scientist!) was an amazing example of a Golden. She was from a hunting line and was wicked smart, loving, intuitive and calm. Our family and friends all loved her and wanted puppies. All of her puppies went to our family members and friends. We kept her son from her last litter, and he became our Foundation male. He lived to be 17.
