I'm Krista C., the breeder behind Gold Treasure Retrievers located in Star, ID. We are dedicated to producing genetically sound, healthy, happy Golden Retrievers. Our dogs are extensively tested and our females are only bred a limited number of times. Our dogs are our pets and live a very pampered lifestyle. Puppies are raised in our home and have lots of socialization with kids and cats. AKC Registered, ESI, ENS and puppy culture.

Why did you start breeding?
We started breeding German Shepherds 15 years ago but have really fallen in love the the Golden Retriever breed. They are the total package when it comes to a dog.What makes your program special?
Our breeding program is dedicated to bettering the breed and only producing the highest of quality of puppies. We use puppy culture, ENS and ESI to ensure healthy well socialized puppies. Puppies are also Volhard tested to make sure you are matched with the right puppy for your family.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include dark golden and golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

"Puppies will be microchipped and examined by a vet at 8 weeks old. Pricing includes AKC Limited Registration. $300 non refundable deposit. Remaining balance due at pickup. Deposit can be transferred to a future litter."

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
