Michelle’s experience

  • About Michelle

We love wine and goldens I am a small Golden Retriever breeder and love my dogs like my family, because they are my family! I give everything I can to improve the breed and to provide quality dogs to whoever is looking for a new companion. I try to place my puppies in the best, most responsible homes to ensure that they live long, happy lives.

  • What makes Michelle’s program special

We take the health of our Golden Retrievers very seriously. We know how important it is that our breeding dogs’ health is as good as it can be to ensure the puppies’ health is similarly sound. That's why we have our females do hips, elbows, and eyes. Our male dogs also do these tests in addition to a heart assessment. We also conduct genetic panels on all our dogs to limit the spread of heritable diseases.

What's included

Enrichment and socialization

I am a huge believer in the Puppy Culture program it’s what I believe sets me apart of others , which focuses on Early Neurological Stimulation. I do noise desensitization by exposing the puppies to different recorded sounds (fireworks, pots & pans, thunder, etc); I also expose them to different animals after their shots (a pet cat, goats), and all kinds of different people (tall, short, kids, adults). I do crate and litter box training to give them a head start on potty training. Start crate training, clicker training, personality assessment, we go on car rides, puppy party’s with a array of people to expose them to as much as safely possible. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Potty Training, Crate Training, Sit Command, Socialized with Children, Socialized with Cats, Socialized with Adult Dogs, Socialized with Other Animals, Socialized with Elderly, Sound Stimulation, Household Desensitization, Grooming Desensitization, Early Neurological Stimulation, Touch Desensitization, Toys, e.g. Ball, Chew, e.g. Bone, Structures, e.g. Climbing, and Scents.
