I'm the breeder behind Golden Hour Golden Retrievers located in Gainesville, FL. It is my goal to enhance the future of the breed through responsibly and ethically breeding golden retrievers. I enjoy training and competing in conformation, agility, obedience, scent work, and other activities (therapy work and dock diving)! Harper (my oldest) is exceptional in many ways and I continue to be impressed by the puppies from her first litter with Arson. The puppy I kept from this litter, Cora, received a Best Puppy in Show on her very first day in the show ring at 4 months old! I am confident Harper and Cora represent the breed well in intelligence, biddability, conformation, drive, and temperament.
About Lindsey
Golden retrievers are my spirit animal. I grew up with goldens and even as an adult I still squeal whenever I see one. When my golden lost her battle tragically to hemangiosarcoma in 2019, I decided I wanted a healthy, responsibly bred golden. Coming from an exceptional pedigree (both parents AKC champions, Master Hunter), Harper has been everything I could have ever asked for in a dog and more.
What makes Lindsey’s program special
I am an extremely conscientious and compassionate person. I have a PhD in psychology with an active interest in the human-animal bond. I am a member of local and national Golden Retriever clubs, closely follow the Golden Retriever Code of Ethics, and have certifications in Good Dog Pre-breeding, Pregnancy and Whelping, and Good Dog's Breeding Foundations. I give my everything to Harper and Cora, and do the same for my puppies. I am definitely the type of breeder that will stay in touch, provide helpful tips, and make sure all of our dogs live long, happy lives!

Why Lindsey started breeding
Harper is an outstanding representation of the golden retriever breed. Breeding, whelping, and raising puppies is not for the faint of heart. I felt like I finally found my "calling" when I raised Cora's litter, with every day a new adventure!
