I'm the breeder behind Heart and Soul Standard Poodles located in Saint Paul, MN. I am a breeder breeding for health and good temperament. My program is small allowing each puppy to get lots of love and attention.

Sandy’s experience

  • About Sandy

I grew up with many animals and love them all. I am a nurse by trade and really care about others and wish them to able to connect with the perfect pet.

  • What makes Sandy’s program special

I do ENSI and Puppy Culture, which helps the pups become happy, healthy, confident, and more intelligent. Many of my puppies have gone to owners that are training for service and 5 of my puppies have been donated to Can Do Canines, which is a nonprofit in Minnesota that trains pups for service.

Sandy may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. What's included

Enrichment and socialization

I do ENS days 3-16. I then do Puppy Culture to help socialize them. I start grooming their face and feet at 4-5 weeks, then weekly, so they get used to the clipper. I start them in a kennel at 5 weeks and also start house training at that time too. They are socialized to children, adults, our other dogs, and 2 cats in our house. They go on car rides and get almost constant attention and love by me and our family. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Socializing the dog with everything is the key to a stable dog, also have lots of friends and family who come over to handle the puppies and help out with the puppies daily. I do not take them to public places to expose them to people as they are not fully vaccinated until 16 weeks. , Early stages of crate training, Outdoors (when Weather permits), Fireworks , Noise desensitized , Structures, e.g. Climbing, Various Surfaces , Touch Desensitization, Socialized with Other Animals, Chew, e.g. Bone, Toys, e.g. Ball, Household Desensitization, Grooming Desensitization, Socialized with Cats, Sound Stimulation, Socialized with Elderly, Early Neurological Stimulation, Puppy Culture , Car Rides, Socialized with Adult Dogs, and Socialized with Children.

Puppy health practices

My females see the vet several times before delivery. On day 2-3 the pups go to the vet for tail docking, dewclaw removal, and getting checked over. The puppies get wormed at 2, 4, 6, and 8 weeks. They are up to date on their vaccines when they go to their forever homes.

Extras

Your puppy may come with extra benefits, like a small bag of food or a toy carrying the scent of their littermates. While Heart and Soul Standard Poodles hasn’t shared specifics yet, we encourage you to reach out directly to learn what thoughtful extras they may include to help your puppy transition comfortably into their new home.
