I'm Mary S., the breeder behind Heartland Aussies located in Amboy, IL. Our puppies are raised in ou home. They all have vaccines, a vet check, are dewormed, and have a fecal test completed. Our dogs are AKC/ASCA registered. Our pups are microchipped. We offer a guarantee from a genetic disease. We love Australian Shepherds and so will you!

Why did you start breeding?
We chose to turn a bad experience into a positive one. We start by hand-selecting each dog for our program. Parents must be genetically tested and negative across the board. OFA-Hips, Elbows, and eyes certified. Then our dogs are testing the same. They are evaluated for temperament, friendliness, and suitability for family life. This makes producing a true to standard Aussie with a family temperament.What makes your program special?
Our program offers healthy, happy puppies from happy healthy parents. We raise our puppies in our home like family and raise them with the same. They go out into the community as successful members of families and their communities.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, red merle, blue merle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

"The price includes guarantee, AKC and or ASCA registration, and sometimes UKC and ASDR. All puppies are vet checked, vaccinated, worked, and fecal tested. Pups are very well socialized. Potty trained. Depsoit is not refundable unless it is an issue on our end."

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
PawPrint Genetic Panel (Breed Specific)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
