I'm Shelley P., the breeder behind Holiday Dachshunds located in Rochester Hills, MI. Our dogs are bred with a focus on temperament, confirmation, and intelligence. We are dedicated to providing our families with wonderful, healthy family pets. Puppies are home raised with other dogs, cats, and children.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Fell in love with dachshunds years ago. Bred several litters with my first set of dachshunds in 2010-2013. Those were then retired and lived in luxury until they passed away around age 14. I have since replaced them and loved the journey with puppies and am repeating my experience.

  • What makes your program special?

    The small family experience helps develop well adjusted pets. Puppies are exposed to my 3 dogs, 2 cats, my 5 year old granddaughter. my 3 have all completed advanced obedience training, and AKC Canine Good Citizen training. Pups are exposed to well behaved adults.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include cream, chocolate and cream, and black and cream. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Shelley

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,500 - $3,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes a $500 deposit, with a $2500 final payment upon pick up for all colors except Cream. Cream puppies require a 600 deposit, with a $2400 final payment. Includes registered AKC litter with Limited registration available upon sale. Puppies are vet checked, dewormed, fecal test, with first shots. Puppies sent home with food, blanket, toys, etc.”

Contract & health guarantee

Shelley may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Shelley was so responsive and easy to work with and couldn’t have made the process any better. We got to visit our dog before we could take him home and her home is clean and all the dogs were very well taken care of. She provided us with almost daily communication about our dog so we could be updated before he came home.     I highly recommend working with Shelly. She showed all green flags during this process. After I inquired about a puppy she offered up lots of information and was willing to FaceTime. There was absolutely no pressure on making a decision as I wanted to make sure I was making the right one. After my puppy was reserved she sent multiple pictures/videos/updates as well as documents with lots of new puppy information. The puppies are raised in her home with other dogs, cats, children, and various other exposures. We had steady communication all the way through pick up day.     We reached out to Shelley with interest in a puppy before any puppies were available and from our first conversation to the day we picked up our beautiful baby boy we couldn't have been happier with her service!
