Chelsie’s experience

  • About Chelsie

I'm Chelsie Trent owner of home Sweet Bernese. I am a veterinary technician going on 14 years. I dedicated my life to improving and maintaining every animal life my hands would lay on. I fell in love with Berners when I was 8 years old. It was a dream to own one and now I live that dream every day with the most amazing dogs I ever imagined. Dogs have always been my passion but the Bernese Mountain Dog owns my soul. I am a voice and protector for the breed and I get the privilege of owning and sharing them with the rest of the world.

  • What makes Chelsie’s program special

People want healthy puppies but they also need a breeder that cares about them too. When there is a good foundation between the breeder and the new puppy family I believe the puppies have the best lives because there is support through the life of that dog. We offer families a very personable trusting experience and offer lifetime breeder support. We care about the families we work with and we enjoy working as a Team to bring the right puppy home to you. We specialize in working with families with children of all ages.

More about Chelsie

  • Why Chelsie started breeding

I was raised on a farm so having small animals around was never new to me but I became interested in canine reproduction and neonatal care while going to school to become a veterinary technician. Out of school, I began working around breeding in both in veterinary hospitals but also working alongside other breeders to improve things specifically in their program. When I got into Bernese, I began to see the need for responsible breeders. The breed didn't need just people raising puppies but they needed people dedicated to them their health, longevity improving fertility. I also saw after purchasing my first Bernese the breed lacked breeders with personability. Most were business transactions. I didn't land the breeder I wish I would of and every day I just try to be the breeder I wish I would have had in the beginning.
