We weren’t ready. It had only been weeks since we lost our cockapoo to IVDD, and the house still felt hollow without her. The silence where her presence used to be was deafening. My family was grieving, and I knew we needed time - real time - to heal before we could open our hearts to another dog. So when I started looking at breeders, I wasn’t looking for now. I was looking for eventually. I found Armen and saw he had a litter due in February. Perfect, I thought. I’d fill out an application, get on a waiting list, and by the time those puppies were ready in April or May, maybe we’d be ready too. Then Armen reached out. He’d received my application and wanted to tell me about Roxy. She was a beautiful curly-haired Goldendoodle who had recently been returned to him, and reading my application, he thought we might be the perfect match. I was intrigued - not just by the timing, but by Roxy’s story. She’d already experienced the trauma of being returned, of losing a home. And as parents of children with special needs, including foster children, my husband and I understood something about providing stability in the midst of upheaval. We knew we could give Roxy what she needed. It felt like a win-win, even if the timing felt impossibly soon. Armen suggested a FaceTime call so we could meet her. It was love at first sight. Through the screen, I could see her sweetness, her gentle nature. I had to meet her in person. The very next day, we drove to the vet where she had a routine check-up appointment. As we approached, I saw her through the frosted glass door - that unmistakable curly red hair. And somehow, she saw us too. When the door opened, Roxy didn’t hesitate. She ran straight toward us with kisses and hugs, like she’d been waiting for us her whole life. We were smitten. Roxy came home with us that day, and I can honestly say she is the most exceptional dog I’ve ever known. Smart, well-behaved, beautiful, and sweet as pie. She’s full of cuddles all day long - the kind of constant, gentle affection that somehow knew exactly what our broken hearts needed. She didn’t replace the dog we lost; she couldn’t. But she filled all the holes in our hearts we didn’t know how to fill ourselves. Looking back, I’m so grateful for Armen’s gracious, thoughtful approach through the entire experience. He wasn’t pushy. He genuinely wanted to find the right fit for Roxy, and you could tell - in every conversation, every piece of guidance - that he truly loves his dogs. He made everything easy during a time when nothing felt easy. His communication was exceptional, his care for Roxy’s wellbeing evident in every detail. We weren’t ready. But Roxy was exactly what we needed, exactly when we needed her. And Armen trusted us with her at our most vulnerable moment. I would absolutely use him again - not just because he’s a wonderful breeder, but because he understood that bringing a dog into a family isn’t just a transaction. It’s about love, timing, trust, and sometimes, a little bit of fate. Roxy is home now, right where she belongs. And so are we.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

As soon as I got in contact with Armen, it was nothing but good vibes and smooth sailing. He asked important questions about the future home of the puppy we were interested in. He made sure our family was ready to receive the puppy in every capacity. We spoke on the phone for about 30 minutes getting to know each other. He made sure that our family with 2 small kids would be able to handle having a puppy to care for and the size future size of the puppy would be growing with our kids. Every conversation was full of important information and he was very very helpful in getting us comfortable with a new puppy in the home. He sent us home with an amazing care package including food, toys, bowls. Basically all you can ask for.
