I'm Lowanda M., the breeder behind K&L Aussies located in Asheboro, NC. We raise our litters in our home to help set the foundation for happy and confident puppies to transition well into their forever homes. It’s a privilege to have the opportunity to make an impact on each individual puppy!

Why did you start breeding?
My parents started the love of breeding dogs when I was a child. They felt with my love of all animals that I should understand the responsibility. They raised a few puppies in the 70's and when my love of horses turned into showing them I met the Australian Shepherd and fell completely in love. So in the 80's I met a few breeders and that's were it all started. I was completely in love with choosing the best of the best to have puppies that were great family dogs.What makes your program special?
I am a small breeder with time to spoil the puppies daily. I do it for the love of a good dog and all the puppy breath. This is not my business, it's my passion.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

DNA Disease Panel, Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
