I'm Briana S., the breeder behind Little Legs Luxury Dachshunds located in Christiansburg, VA. We are proud to produce high quality, health tested, AKC & CKC registered Miniature Dachshund puppies. We do not breed for color, but we do have a passion for Dapple. We believe structure, health, and color can- and should- go hand in hand. We are part of the AKC bred with H.E.A.R.T. program.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include longhaired and smooth coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include piebald, red, black, chocolate, brindle, fawn (isabella) and tan, gray (blue) and tan, chocolate and tan, chocolate and cream, blue and tan, blue and cream, black and tan, black and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Briana

Briana has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Briana partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $1,000 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $3,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“This price includes a health guarantee, first round of vaccines, regular deworming, AKC or CKC registration, and one month of free pet insurance. Deposits are placed to hold your puppy until date of pickup. Deposits are deducted off the total cost and are non-refundable unless your puppy somehow becomes unfit for sale while still in my care.”

Briana may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Full Embark Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    I have to admit, I was a bit nervous looking for a puppy with how crazy scams are these days. The good dog app made me feel more secure, so I began the search for our perfect puppy. We spent a few months looking around, and one late night while scrolling I found “Sydney” she was EXACTLY what we were looking for from color, to gender, to age, to temperament. She was beyond perfect, and at times I questioned if she was too good to be true 😅 I waited a few days and contemplated reaching out due to being worried about scams, but the hubby said we should at least try. We were welcomed to any and all questions with open arms and no judgement, Briana from the second we started messaging to even now having already brought our baby home has been the kindest and most helpful person I could have ever hoped for and beyond. The deposit was reasonable and the remaining amount was even offered in a payment option! We were constantly given updates with photos and videos and responses were always extremely fast. When the time to pick (now named zero) up, we drove about 20 hours round trip and we don’t regret a single second of it. She is the most perfect puppy anyone could ever ask for, on our long journey home she let us know every time she had to potty, and translated that into her home life. She’s very smart and picks up/learns faster than I could ever prepare for.. lol. I can go on and on and on about how amazing this process has been from start to finish, but I’ll save that experience for you! If you are reading this and think it’s fake due to how good to be true it is, I promise I’m typing this with her napping in my lap, you won’t regret it!!! Thank you again so so much Little legs!!

    Briana was amazing to work with! She FaceTimed with my family so we could meet the puppy we were interested in.
