I'm the breeder behind Lucky Ranch Labradors located in Castle Rock, CO. Our dogs are intelligent, loving, and athletic, and they produce puppies who will thrive in an any lifestyle. We're passionate about these dogs and are careful to breed and raise our pups with only the best policies.

  • About Gaylen

    My husband and I both came from labrador Retriever families. I have always been passionate about the breed and totally obsessed with our family dogs. We raise our dogs and puppies on our 35 acre ranch and beautiful Castle Rock, Colorado.

    Our passion is to breed exceptional healthy active labrador retriever puppies. Our breeding program has produced amazing temperaments that have allowed many service dogs, emotional support, avalanche search and rescue, hunt dogs and the best companion the family could ever ask for.

Getting a puppy from Gaylen

Gaylen has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices range from $3,300 and include a deposit of $500.

“The price includes the health guarantee, AKC registration, first rounds of vaccinations, deworming, puppy socialization and a puppy packet!! We do our best to make that perfect pairing of people and puppy. If we are not able to produce a puppy for you, I will refund your deposit. I want our pups to go to happy satisfied homes.”

What's included

Enrichment and socialization

Our puppies are well-adjusted to being in a home. They are around other dogs and people every day!! I utilize the following enrichment methods: positive experiences in all situations, Outdoors, e.g. rain, Grooming Desensitization, Household Desensitization, Socialized with Other Animals, Socialized with Adult Dogs, Socialized with Children, Indoor and outdoor play; physical and mental stimulation , We shorten nails weekly and groom often to desensitize your puppy in these situations, Grooming and Nail Care, Fetch, Livestock interactions, Water Introduction, grooming , Early socialization, Initial House Training, Human Interactions , Basic manners, Puppy Culture , and Potty training, crate training.

Puppy health practices

Lucky Ranch puppies are all vaccinated, dewormed, vet checked, first Chiropractic adjustment, microchipped and are in excellent sound health.

We send our puppies home with Welcome Home bag, Microchipped , Our puppies are all sent home with welcome home bags and information. , Vaccinations, Puppy Starter Kit, Toy with Littermates' Scent, Puppy Collar, Microchip, Food Starter Bag, Certificate of Health, Breed Club Registration, Bone, Blanket with Mom's Scent, Blanket with Littermates Scent, and AKC Registration.

If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Hereditary Nasal Parakeratosis (HNPK), Copper Toxicosis, Labrador Retriever ATP7A, DNA Disease Panel, PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM), D Locus (Dilute) DNA test

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
