I'm the breeder behind Lucy’s Miniature Dachshunds located in Albertville, AL. Our dogs are bred for health and quality as well as beauty. I have dedicated myself to learning as much as I can and I’m doing everything possible to make sure our puppies have a long, happy and healthy life with their new owners.

About Erica
I am someone who has always loved dachshunds and always believed they are the perfect little family member. I think they are all beautiful ! It’s a dream of mine to one day own one of each color and coat! One day I will but as of right now I only have my pair…Ricky and Lucy.
What makes Erica’s program special
I would say what makes my program special is love. I know that sounds a bit corny but it’s the truth. These are not just breeding dogs to me. I really love them and they are a part of my family. I care about what happens to them and I care that they and their puppies are healthy and happy. Our pups are AKC registered, UTD on vaccines/dewormer, microchipped and seen by our veterinarian. They have been socialized and begun potty training. They have the best start to being the best pet!

Getting a puppy from Erica
Erica has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices range from $2,000 - $3,000 and include a deposit of $500.
“Our puppies are priced based on coat and sex. The price includes application to register with AKC in your name, being UTD on vaccines/dewormer if needed, flea meds, being microchipped and had a wellness check by our vet. If you pay a deposit to hold a puppy and change your mind the deposit is not refundable although you can choose another available puppy instead.”

Erica may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. What's included
Enrichment and socialization
Our puppies are very well adjusted to living with other animals as well as children. They have been exposed to different noises as well as faces. They have also been on a car ride or 2. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Scent introduction, Socialized with other animals, Introduced to people of different ages and appearances, Socialized with other dogs, Daily handling, Socialized in new places, Surface & tactile stimulation, Socialized with children, Car rides, Various sounds, Basic puppy manners, manding, “no”, started potty training, Basic commands, , Grooming and Nail Care, Touch, pets, and kisses are encouraged during human socialization., Start of house breaking and socializing , stay, surface and tactile stimulation, Initial House Training, Puppy Manners, Pee pad, and Basic manners.
Puppy health practices
All puppies are UTD on vaccines , tested for worms, seen by our vet and determined to be healthy as well as microchipped. They will come home with all paper work.
Extras
We send our puppies home with Puppy starter kit, Blanket with mom & littermates’ scent, Registration, Basic obedience & manners, Microchip, Vet records, Initial potty training, Food & treats, and Toys.
Bringing your puppy home

Pick up your puppy in Albertville, AL or nearby
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
Get your puppy dropped off to you
Work with a trusted transporter to get your puppy comfortably dropped off at a meeting point close to home.

Lucy is a chocolate and tan dapple female. She is a very smart, loving girl and expects all of the love in return. She enjoys attention and hugs more than anything. She just wants to lay in your lap or on top of you and she is happy.

Ricky a long hair shaded red male. He is a sweet and calm boy. He loves to play with my children. He will run around and bark and play catch with them all day. He is also very protective of them which is very sweet. He loves his family and he loves Lucy most of all.❤️

Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
