I'm Phyllis W., the breeder behind Mianda Pugs located in Hendersonville, NC. I have been breeding beautiful Pug dogs for 30 years. I am a proud member of the Pug Dog Club of America, Central Carolina Pug Dog Club, and Hendersonville Kennel Club. The Mianda family has owned many exquisite Pugs over the years.

Why did you start breeding?
Mianda Pugs has been showing and breeding for over 30 years. We started with two champion bitches of Paragon and Wejwood bloodlines. We have bred in a great deal of Bonjor through the famous Ch. Bonjor Hominy Grits ROM**. Now there's a little "Grits" in most of our dogs. We also had input from the famous Kesander line of Jean and Bob Anderson through Ch. Kesander’s Moondancer.What makes your program special?
Here at Mianda Pugs we breed with the aim of first producing to the standard show dogs. We want large boned, compact dogs with lovely, large heads, light colored coats, and the sweet Pug disposition.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Pug Dog Encephalitis (PDE)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
