I'm Melissa B., the breeder behind Passchendaele English Coonhounds located in Waldoboro, ME. We breed each litter of puppies with the goal of superior temperament, health, conformation, movement, and the natural ability and drive to hunt. Our breeding dogs have been screened for genetic conditions related to drug sensitivities, vision, weight, mobility, and more. Our puppies are provided with the best start possible to give them the greatest chance at success, whether that be as a family pet, in the competition ring, as a hunter, or all of the above! Why did you start breeding?
My first English Coonhound was the breeder's pick and he said that I owed him a puppy when she went on to do great things. While he no longer raises his own litters, he continues to be involved in my breeding program, bringing in top-performing sires from all over the US for me to choose from. His experience from a lifetime of competing, hunting, and breeding top-quality English Coonhounds has been invaluable.What makes your program special?
I am one of the few English Coonhound breeders that do genetic testing on my breeding dogs. Puppies are well socialized with people, adult dogs, and a variety of farm animals. When you get a puppy from me, you have advice and support for the lifetime of your puppy.Where do your breeding dogs live?
