Meet the breeder

I'm Lisa S., the breeder behind Queen City Dachshunds located in Cincinnati, OH. We are dedicated to always providing our buyers and our puppies with a positive experience, which includes remaining committed to responsible practices when it comes to breeding, training and finding the right home for our puppies.

Q. & A. with Lisa

  • Why did you start breeding?

We fell in love with the dachshund breed 18 years ago when their were few long haired miniature dachshund breeders in our tri-state area, that breed for correct structure and temperment. Our goal was to breed show quality lh miniature dachshunds, with correct structure and temperment hoping that we could place our puppies with homes in our tri-state area (Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky) and the USA.
  • What makes your program special?

Our dogs are raised in our home and are handled daily from birth until they compete in the AKC show ring, obedience, agility or fastCAT events, work in the marketing and advertising business, become a certified medical alert dog or go to live with there future families. Our dogs are health and genetic tested for the dachshund breed, and complete the 10 week long Puppy Culture program.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include cream, red, black, brindle, black and tan, chocolate and tan, and black and cream. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
