Meet the breeder

I'm Jennifer R., the breeder behind RFGoldens located in Garland, TX. For more information about our program and application process, please see the link in our About section. We are an in‑home family breeder, and our puppies are raised right alongside us as part of our daily life. Golden Retrievers are known for their loyalty and loving disposition, and we put great care into nurturing those qualities in every litter. Our program is intentionally calm and low‑stimulation, giving puppies the peaceful environment they need to develop confidence and emotional stability. We follow an evidence‑based approach that supports healthy development without overstimulation. Puppies follow a predictable daily routine with structured wake times, meals, outdoor potty breaks, playtime, naps, and bedtime. We prioritize healthy sleep habits, and our puppies receive 18–20 hours of rest each day in their individual crates. This helps them build independence, reduce separation anxiety, and transition smoothly into their new homes. They begin early potty training, age‑appropriate crate training, and short periods of alone time so they grow comfortable and secure. Our puppies are affectionate, social, and eager to explore, play, and snuggle, while still benefiting from the gentle structure that supports their development. They interact with our family throughout the day and enjoy quiet cuddles each night before bed. Families may choose the pick‑up age that works best for them. The day before pick‑up, we provide your puppy’s current schedule to help you continue their routine at home. We are committed to preparing each puppy for a smooth, confident transition into their new family.

Q. & A. with Jennifer

  • Why did you start breeding?

I’ve always had a deep passion for Golden Retrievers, and long before starting our program, I spent years researching, studying pedigrees, learning from experienced breeders, and understanding what it truly means to breed responsibly. Learning never stops for us — we continue to grow, study, and improve with every litter. We wanted to do our part to better the breed. Our breeding program is built on preserving the unique characteristics that make Golden Retrievers so special, while placing a strong emphasis on producing puppies with excellent health, sound temperaments, and proper conformation. Every decision we make is intentional and rooted in our commitment to raising well‑rounded, purpose‑driven Goldens.
  • What makes your program special?

Our program is designed for families who want a puppy that transitions smoothly into their home. We raise our puppies on a consistent, predictable daily routine that supports calm behavior, confidence, and easy adjustment. Each puppy is happy, healthy, affectionate, and well‑socialized, spending every day interacting with our family and enjoying gentle cuddles before bedtime. We are intentional about avoiding overstimulation. Puppies follow a structured schedule that includes wake times, meals, outdoor potty breaks, playtime, naps, and bedtime. They are gradually introduced to short periods of crate time and become comfortable being left alone when we step out. Each puppy receives age‑appropriate crate and potty training until they go home, and families may choose the pick‑up age that works best for them. To support a smooth transition, we provide your puppy’s current schedule the day before pick‑up so you can continue their routine at home with confidence.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include dark golden, golden, and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
