About Nemesis
Nemesis came to us as a surprise gift from one of my co-owners. She is Odessa's granddaughter. MeMe is her mother. She is strong willed (like her grandma) and fearless. I can't wait to see how she matures and get her into the ring.

About Mojo
Mojo is the other male we kept from Odessa's litter. Mojo was actually sold twice but he was destined to remain here. He was accident prone as a puppy. He choked on a stick and passed out with me running across the yard screaming for my husband. His sister (MeMe) choked him out twice to the point he passed out. The second time she choked him out he needed to be revived. It was at that point my husband said he needed to stay here. He is co-owned with the woman who was originally going to purchase him, he lives with us though. Mojo has started his show career and competes in weight pull. He really enjoys weight pull. He is very much like a 2 yr old toddler child. He is always into mischief. He is always happy, tail is always wagging but he is naughty and can't be let alone in a room for more than 3 seconds before he is into something he isn't supposed to be LOL Mojo is the complete opposite of his brother Roadblock. He is short and stocky with a short body. He is Kashmir's twin.

About Odessa
Odessa is our foundation female. She came from Serendipity Staff Kennel in Hungary. She is almost perfect in our eyes. She is the boss of the house and keeps everyone in check. She has wonderful temperament and has that terrier attitude. She loves her treadmill and has exceptional toy and food drive. Sadly we were only able to breed her once. We got 7 wonderful healthy puppies from her only litter. We kept 2 boys, 1 boy went to Hungary to her breeder as a gift, 1 pet girl is in Canada where she is excelling in Rally and Obedience. 1 show quality girl we co-own with Southern Oaks Kennel and 1 working quality girl we co-own with a wonderful trainer in NY. He does all kind of sports with her. The last girl is in a pet home in CO with her father.

About Roadblock
Roadblock is one of the males we kept out of Odessa. He was the 1st born, the biggest and he caused Odessa to have an emergency C-section. Hence his name, Roadblock LOL He is a large male, he is tall and long. He is very active and has lots of energy. He loves his treadmill as much as his mom does. He is a very spoiled mama's boy. He has a kink in his tail so he will be competing in sports. We are going to try weight pull with him but we think he will enjoy dock diving and barn hunt instead.

River Oaks Kennel reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for American Staffordshire Terriers.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Brucellosis
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis 4A (NCL4A), American Staffordshire Terrier Type
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
