We are thrilled to announce the second litter from our beloved golden retrievers, Rip and Locks. Locks is a beautiful, gentle soul wrapped in golden fur, with warm, expressive eyes and a heart full of sweetness—equally happy resting her head on your knee or bounding joyfully through the grass. Rip is our big buddy with a heart of gold whose favorite thing in the world is simply being with his people; whether he’s duck hunting on Utah Lake, hiking in the mountains, or lounging on the back porch with the family, he is content. His dark red coat stops people in their tracks, and his kind, easygoing personality—especially with children—makes him the perfect companion. Together, Rip and Locks produced an incredible first litter, and we are so excited to welcome their second, knowing these puppies will carry the same loving temperaments, beauty, and family-oriented nature that make both parents so special.

About Peach
Peach has the softest, most gentle nature, and nothing makes her happier than exploring the winding trails of the Rocky Mountains right outside our home. She’s a true sweetheart—especially with children—always patient, affectionate, and ready to offer her belly for rubs. Her loyalty runs deep, and her athletic spirit shines whether she’s hiking, playing, or simply keeping up with the family. Peach brings so much warmth and joy into our lives, and we feel incredibly lucky to have her as part of our home and our program.

About Locks
Locks is a beautiful, gentle soul wrapped in golden fur. A female golden retriever with a heart as warm as her silky coat, she brings joy to everyone she meets. Her deep, soulful eyes are full of kindness and curiosity, always ready to offer comfort or share in a moment of play. Locks is the definition of sweetness—whether she’s softly resting her head on your knee or bounding joyfully through the grass, tail wagging like sunshine. She’s not just a dog—she’s family, a loyal companion, and a living reminder of unconditional love and beauty in its purest form.

About Rip
Rip is a big buddy with a heart of gold- if we had to guess what his favorite thing to do is, we would say it’s being with his people! Regardless if it’s duck hunting on Utah lake, hiking in the mountains, or lounging on the back porch with the family, he is content! Rip is the perfect companion with such a sweet demeanor and personality. He is wonderful with children, and always rolls over for belly rubs when kids are around! Steve made the whole process so easy! He was incredibly responsive, was able to answer all of my questions, provide me valuable information, and give me plenty of updates and pictures of my puppy. I really appreciate that Steve understands how big of a commitment a puppy is, and was so patient with all of my questions. Most importantly, I absolutely love my new puppy Jet - who is awesome! I would definitely go back to Steve & Rocky Mountain Field Goldens in the future

Steve and Ellie were my main contact points at RMFG. I first messaged them because of the descriptions of their dogs. They seemed to treat their dogs like family and to know them like one of their own kids. Then I learned from conversations back and forth that they are exactly who they say they are. My family had just lost our golden in a tragic accident. I reached out to Steve, asking if they had any puppies that were confident and playful enough to handle the attention of my four kids ages 10 and under. I also explained that I needed him to be submissive and cuddly enough that he wouldn’t be too hard to train. Steve immediately indicated a boy puppy that had the balance of a playful and cuddly personality. It was easy to fall in love with the dog over a picture because their dogs are beautiful. Ellie also sent us several pictures and videos demonstrating his dual personality in action and continued to send updates until we picked him up. When I met Steve with the dog for the first time at the airport, there were lots of noises, distractions, and people to greet. Notwithstanding, the dog was calm and confident and up for the adventure. When he was tired, he would sit on my lap or sleep under my chair. He has not had one potty accident in the house since we brought him home. We taught him to use the doggy door on his first night home and he’s been using it to access our designated potty area ever since. I’m so proud of him. He’s such a smart boy!!! What is even more impressive is how exactly spot on Steve got his personality and how fitting he is for my family and our energy levels. We feel so blessed to have this sweet guy in our home! I 💯 would get a dog from them again. 🙌

Steve and Ellie were GREAT. At the first point of contact, Steve put me in touch with owners of his dogs- which was very helpful and demonstrates how proud of and invested in his dogs he is. They answered all my questions and set up the delivery for the pup in a super quick time frame. Our girl is a real beauty and full of love for everyone. She’s only 10 weeks old and already knows how to sit, go in her crate for a nap, and she sleeps almost through the night. Steve says these dogs are super smart and easy to train, and so far, he is definitely not wrong. We are pleased to have found Rocky Mountain Field Goldens!

Steve was wonderful to work with. Great response time to messages. Very helpful and informative when talking on the phone about our interest in purchasing one of their puppies. We are first time ever dog owners and Steve helped us feel comfortable and confident stepping into this new world. Great communication about picking up our puppy, what to expect when we got home, and answering any questions we had. Everything about the process was great and we are loving our new littlest family member!

We had such a wonderful experience with Steve and Ellie from start to finish. They were knowledgeable, supportive, and made the entire process so smooth. You can tell how much love and care they put into their puppies - it really shows. Our family is absolutely in love with our new puppy, Cody West 💕🐾. He is sweet, healthy, and has the best temperament. We are so grateful to Steve and Ellie for helping bring him into our lives! Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a puppy.

After extensive research, we chose Rocky Mountain Field Goldens, and we're thrilled with our decision. We loved how they stay connected with the pups from previous litters, giving us a clear idea of what to expect as our puppy grows. The experience of picking out our pup was wonderful—we got to meet the parents, Peaches and Rip, who were absolutely gorgeous! Seeing how well-cared-for the parents were and how well-socialized the puppies were, we knew we had made the right choice. What we didn’t realize then was just how grateful we would be for RMFG. When we brought Kevie home, we were prepared for the late nights, potty training, and all the challenges of having a new puppy. But what we’ve experienced has been far better. She’s already well-adjusted to people and kids, almost fully potty trained, and she even sleeps through the night in her crate. This speaks volumes about the quality of RMFG’s breeding and the care they invest in their puppies. We’re so impressed that we’re already considering getting another one from their next litter—LOL!
