I'm Shari S., the breeder behind Rufnit Kennels, LLC located in Lincoln, NE. Excellence is our progeny standard. We breed Braque du Bourbonnais for field, show, obedience and canine midwifery. We strive to achieve top quality. We are breeders who do everything we can to better the breed and ensure our dogs and puppies are able to get the very most out of life.

We prioritize health testing, field tests and trials, and confirmation. This assures we are keeping on track to produce healthy, well-adjusted companions. Price
"Whelped in our home. Puppies receive 5 Veterinarian "Healthy companion" checkups; first set of vaccinations, three dewormings, ID Microchip. Exposed to birds, field and water (weather permitting). Reservation fees are accepted for pre-approved applications only and are non-refundable."

Parent health testing

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Vet Wellness Exam, Canine Good Citizen (CGC), Brucellosis, Urinalysis (UA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Lupoid Dermatosis (LD), DNA Profile
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
