Meet the breeder

I'm Natalie K., the breeder behind Sandy Creek Bernedoodles located in Washougal, WA. We breed for health and temperament. We also take socializing our puppies very seriously! Our puppies are raised in our home surrounded by many children, lots of noise and a ton of love. They are cuddled and played with daily and very used to being handled by children of all ages. Our puppies are also raised with puppy culture practices, and ENS. We introduce new sounds and exposure items daily, to help the puppies gain confidence and be comfortable with new experiences.

Q. & A. with Natalie

  • Why did you start breeding?

As our kids started getting older we saw just how important the unconditional love of a dog is. We sought out every piece of information we could find on the right match for our kids’ specific needs and we fell in love with the Bernese Mountain Dog, the Poodle and the Bernedoodle. While we have been life-long dog-lovers and have many years of breeding experience, our hearts were opened even wider when we saw first-hand the healing that dogs can bring. We want the same bond and unconditional love to be available to other families. The healing that occurs through this bond, is priceless.
  • What makes your program special?

Our puppies are raised in a family environment from birth. They are handled daily by kids of all ages. We use puppy culture practices and expose the puppies to several new experiences, sounds and textures daily. All of our puppies go home ready to be apart of a family. They understand what love means and adjust really well to their new families.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Bernedoodle puppies include mini, medium, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Bernedoodle puppies include black and white, tri-color, and phantom. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.
