After buyers complete the application and screening process, Tyler & Casey partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“This price includes AKC registration, vaccinations, microchip, embark panel (per request), structural and genetic health guarantee, puppy temperament evaluation and lifelong breeder support. Deposit are accepted after 3 wks and are refundable up until 6wks. After 6wks deposits are non-refundable.”

Litter update on 13 Apr •…These two have passed their OFAs! We plan to pair them at Embers next heat. We will be expecting stock and long coat blue, liver and Isabella in SOLID and color/tan. Get on the waitlist today for this highly anticipated litter! These pups will have an expected go home date sometime this Fall 2026

Program update on 27 Feb •…We are excited to be adding a Cinder son to our program! Koda is also a liver sable with a richer color. He is embark CLEAR (including DM/MRD1/PD). He is a long coat liver sable. Hip/elbow evaluations are pending!

Program update on 10 Feb •…We’ve moved! Hestie made the cross country trip with her grandparents Ellie & Harley to the Rocky Mountains. Some of our dogs remained with their guardians homes on the east coast but will still be active members of our program! Our next generation is up & coming with health testing being completed. Stay tuned for a litter from Ember in fall/winter of 2026!

Ember is a beautiful stock coat solid liver. Her lineage originates in the UK and we are thrilled to add her diversity to our program. She is a loving family dog with a goofy side, thriving in her home with small children “siblings” and striking poses for her human photog momma.

Meet your new bestie Hestie! She is the third generation of our line, a combination of all the qualities we desire in today’s German shepherd- intelligent, intuitive, social but loyal & loving to their family!
Juniper, mom

About Juniper
Juniper is a daughter of our Ellie x Harley. She is a long coat seal brindle carrying white, liver, blue and solid. Pennhip 0.47/0.47 and OFA normal elbows. Juniper has a very neutral temperament and is sound proof in any environment. She loves to be the token “shop dog” and swim like a fish in guardianship family’s pond.

Scenic City Shepherds reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for German Shepherds.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Temperament Test
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
