I'm Lucy S., the breeder behind ScottsCreek Mastiffs located in Hartsville, SC. We work hard to produce healthy, well-rounded Mastiff puppies that will make others as happy as our dogs have made us! We give our dogs the best lives possible. We are looking for families and individuals that will provide our puppies with the same level of love and care.

Why did you start breeding?
Dog’s have always been my biggest love. My neighbor raised and showed Springer Spaniels. I was fortunate that she took me under her wing when I was 8, getting me started in 4-H & AKC JR handling. I was taught at a young age the importance of following breed standards responsible breeding. I raised my first litter of puppies at age 11.
What makes your program special?
Careful, selective, quality & sound breedings that follow the mastiff breed standard to preserve and produce strong, healthy well balanced dogs & puppies. Dogs & puppies raised in our home. Mastiffs are family dogs they thrive in an inside family environment. When you have one of our puppies you become part of our mastiff family.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include apricot, fawn, and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Brucellosis
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), PRA Dominant (DPRA), Mastiff Type, Cystinuria Type 3, English Mastiff Type Risk Factor, DNA Disease Panel
