I'm Amanda J., the breeder behind Simply Southern Shihtzus located in Hawthorne, FL. We breed high-quality puppies. We love what we do and are committed to producing well-bred, healthy puppies for loving homes. We give our dogs the best lives possible. We are looking for families and individuals that will provide our puppies with the same level of love and care. I sell to pet homes only.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I got into breeding on accident after moving to Florida. My first friend I made here was a Shih tzu breeder and I learned the ropes from her and went from there. I adore the breed and couldn’t imagine life without one.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our babies are raised in our home with individual attention love and care.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include sable, black, black gold and white, blue and white, liver and white, black and white, and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Amanda

Amanda has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and $1,400 final payment, before taxes & fees.

    I absolutely loved Amanda! I brought home baby "Simon"who is now JoJo. He is incredibly smart! At 10 weeks old, he already knows his name. He's also going to the bathroom outside, with a few accidents here and there, of course. Amanda absolutely has raised these babies in a loving home! When I met her, i instantly knew she was a great person! She sent me videos before I picked JoJo up.     We picked up our little Daisy about 2 1/2 weeks ago on August 6th. She is the sweetest, most adorable little ball of fur that we've ever seen. We couldn't be happier. She brings so much love into our home. The entire process, from beginning, to the moment we picked up Daisy, could not have been simpler. Amanda was wonderful. She was always available to answer any questions we had, and kept us informed of Daisy's progress. She would text us photos of Daisy, and we were even able to FaceTime with Amanda and see Daisy. The most difficult part of the process was waiting to bring Daisy home.

    Getting a puppy was something I dreamed about and Amanda made the process SO EASY!! And my little luffy is literally the sweetest..smartest.. CUTEST boy!! I actually selected one of his brothers first but I'm our FaceTime i asked to see another puppy I was interested in and it was love at first sight!!!     What a lovely experience working with Amanda! My daughters found Charlotte AKA Charlie online and fell in love! Amanda’s quick and kind responses were amazing. She answered even the smallest of questions whenever they’d cross our minds. We’ve had her a week and Charlie is sleeping through the night. If we are away for a short time, Disney movie playlists on YouTube entertain her! We have tried to stay as close to schedule as possible. We hope to keep in touch and there’s no question- we’d definitely refer to Amanda in the future!
