I'm April M., the breeder behind T. Rex Doxies & Friends located in Bergen, NY. We’re so excited to be able to help families experience the longtime loyalty of welcoming a new puppy into their lives! Each of our dogs has brought so much happiness to us throughout their lives. We want to do our part to produce wonderful, healthy dogs that can bring other people joy as well, and we strive to provide each of our puppies with loving homes where they can live happy lives.

  • What makes your program special?

    We have a very small selection of dogs in our favorite breeds! All babies are hand selected to the AKC standards. We are an in-home breeding program. Our dogs are family members and retire here. There are no crates or cages or separate living quarters. We have a doggie door and they have full access to the home, furniture, and beds.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from April

April has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, April partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“All our babies go home with lifetime support, a full vet exam, and vaccines provided my a licensed veterinarian. If applicable- most of our babies are AKC registered as well. Deposits are nonrefundable if you change your mind on your decision. We spend a lot of time communicating and getting you ready for the big day. We value your time and we know you value ours too!”

Contract & health guarantee

April may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    April was wonderful to work with. She was very responsive and always provided updates on LulaMae (formerly known as Prada) We had a very smooth pickup and we were provided all the necessities. At her first vet visit she was diagnosed with Giardia, but we received treatment right away and she is much better. LulaMae is now 4 months old and loves to play, explore, and take naps 😁
