I'm Bethani V., the breeder behind Vaubel Country Pugs located in Milam, WV. We cherish each of our dogs and puppies, and we do everything we can to make sure that they get the best lives possible. That includes everything from choosing healthy parents with good temperaments, to proper socialization and daily care, to placing them in loving homes with wonderful families. We strive to provide each of our puppies and their families with a truly positive experience!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I have this incredible love for all dogs and especially my pugs.

  • What makes your program special?

    I feel my program is special because my pugs are my family. I have Chessie, the momma, Gilbert, the daddy and Sullie, who is my first pug and is fixed.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are fawn. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and $2,350 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“This price includes NKC registration, first round of vaccinations and microchip for the puppy. A new blanket that smells like momma. A new collar and a variety of toys. The deposit holds the puppy until puppy is picked up and total amount is paid in full.”

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Pug Dog Encephalitis (PDE)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    Bethani was a true joy to work from the start to finish. She started calling our pug by his name and working with him on the environment he would be in with us. She also had to meet us more than half way to make it work so we could surprise our boys with the beautiful pug the next day at their birthday party. Her and her mother made the whole process so fun and I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for their next pug. His disposition has been perfect and you can tell he was raised well and in a loving home before we ever received him.     The entire process of picking out a puppy & bringing him home from Bethani was the best experience we have ever had with a breeder. She kept us up to date on his progress, and his vet appointments. Pictures & videos of him were priceless. When we went to pick him up, they made sure our directions were correct. Meeting Bethani & Eric was really nice. They treated us as if we knew each other forever. They are great people and really love their pugs. They do not over breed their dogs which was great to hear. We were able to meet Jake’s parents. They were super sweet. We were totally blown away with the care package they put together for Jake. We would highly recommend Vaubel Pugs to anyone who wants a great pug puppy! Jake is a great puppy. He is such a happy puppy. He is so easy to train. He is so smart.     We waited 4 years since our last Pug passed...and we found Bethani and beautiful Heron. Our experience with Bethani was amazing! She responded quickly, was always available, and we even did a Facetime to see Heron! She was warm, wonderful, loving, and obviously a breeder with excellent ethics. We met her, her wonderful husband, and Heron's parents were on site. We have been enjoying Heron for over a month and he is such a smart puppy...we love him so much.
