I'm the breeder behind Apollo's Great Danes (AGD's) located in Appomattox, VA. We are proud to offer our beautiful Great Dane puppies to loving homes! Our dogs are healthy and have great temperaments. We are a small, in-home breeding program where we prioritize giving each dog and puppy the best care that we can. We cherish all of our animals and enjoy sharing the love of this breed with other individuals and families!

Puppy prices range from $2,000 - $3,000 and include a non-refundable deposit of $200.

“Limited or Full AKC registration. Deposit required to hold puppies to ensure they don't miss out on a home. Deposit goes towards purchase price.”

What's included

Enrichment and socialization

Our puppies are well socialized with other dogs, children, Puppy Culture Rule of 7. Started with crate and potty training. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Rules of 7, Leash Training, Outdoors (when Weather permits), Puppy Culture , car riding , crate training, Noise desensitized , Various Surfaces , Strangers, Scents, Structures, e.g. Climbing, Socialized with Other Animals, Chew, e.g. Bone, Toys, e.g. Ball, Early Neurological Stimulation, Touch Desensitization, Grooming Desensitization, Household Desensitization, Socialized with Cats, Sound Stimulation, Socialized with Elderly, Socialized with Adult Dogs, Socialized with Children, We begin potty training along with crate training & believe the two go hand in hand., Noise desensitization, Human Interactions , Puppy Culture , Name recognition , "No" Biting or Chewing, Clicker Training, and Potty Training.

Puppy health practices

All pups have dew claw removal, age appropriate vacations, multiple dewormings and fecal examinations, socialization, Puppy Culture Rule of 7,.

Bringing your puppy home

Pick up your puppy in Appomattox, VA or nearby

If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.

“We currently don't ship our puppies. You can come to our home, we will come to your home or meet at a halfway safe place. (Police Station)”

Get your puppy dropped off to you

Work with a trusted flight nanny or transporter to get your puppy comfortably dropped off at an airport or meeting point close to home.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
