I'm the breeder behind Artisan Retrievers located in Giddings, TX. I'm new breeder starting a small program. I hope to help provide families with quality puppies as I continue to learn & grow! My love for retrievers sparked my interest to start sharing puppies with families wanting both the perfect pet and a reliable working dog. I'M dedicated to preserving the breed standard and natural abilities of these amazing dogs.

Getting a puppy from Brent

Brent has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices range from $2,000 - $3,500 and include a deposit of $500.

What's included

Enrichment and socialization

I utilize the following enrichment methods: Introduced to people of different ages and appearances, Socialized with other dogs, Daily handling, Scent introduction, Socialized in new places, Socialized with children, Surface & tactile stimulation, Car rides, and Various sounds.

Puppy health practices

Certified Good Dog breeders ensure their puppies are healthy and ready for their new homes. Puppies receive the appropriate vaccinations and are dewormed or have a clear fecal exam before they leave. While Artisan Retrievers hasn’t shared details about their specific health practices yet, we encourage you to reach out to learn more about how they care for their puppies.

We send our puppies home with Initial potty training, Puppy starter kit, Toys, Vet records, Microchip, Registration, and Blanket with mom & littermates’ scent.

Bringing your puppy home

Brent offers options to help you easily get your new puppy home.

Pick up your puppy in Giddings, TX or nearby

If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.

Get your puppy dropped off to you

    I've trained and bred retrievers since I was 15 and went to my first job at a veterinary clinic. There I met my still good friend Mary Tatum DVM of Watermark Retrievers. Through the years I've continued my quest to learn the best ways to train and raise retrievers

  • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA), Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
