I'm the breeder behind Badger Canyon Labrador Retrievers located in Benton City, WA. We have been a small, family-owned breeder of American Labrador Retrievers since 2012. We strive to produce healthy pups with natural hunting talent and solid hunting lines that would do well as hunting companions or as any family's new pet.
About Kristina
We are an avid outdoors and hunting family with the goal to produce future great hunting partners and loyal family members. Our family invests many hours of love and attention into our dogs and our litters. Half of our buyers are typically avid hunters, half are families who are active and want a healthy four-legged family member to share their home.
What makes Kristina’s program special
Our number one requirement is the health of our dogs. We are not a puppy-mill and refuse to breed irresponsibly. We feed high quality foods; do extensive health testing; pregnancy ultra sounds; x-rays and checkups with our number-one goal the "health" of our dogs and puppies.

You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Puppy prices range from $1,200 - $1,300 and include a refundable deposit of $250.
“The order of deposits received determines pick order. Deposits are non-refundable.”
Kristina may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Kristina offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don’t hesitate to reach out to Kristina directly.
Puppies are started on early neurological stimulation/Bio Sensor program. We start our pups with bird introduction starting at 6 weeks of age with live pigeons and game wings. We also work on basic commands and puppy bumpers. They get plenty of love and time to be a puppy but starting early bird introduction makes for a happy future hunting partner. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Early Neurological Stimulation, Biosensor Training, Toys, e.g. Ball, Scents, and Sit Command.
Pups will be well socialized; dewclaws removed; wormed; have first set of shots; and AKC paperwork.
We send our puppies home with AKC Registration, Microchip, Food Starter Bag, Vaccinations, Blanket with Littermates Scent, Educational Materials, and Toys.
Kristina offers options to help you easily get your new puppy home.
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
Work with a trusted flight nanny to get your puppy comfortably dropped off at an airport or meeting point close to home.
Why Kristina started breeding
We started breeding around 7 years ago just for hunting, but got really into the whole process of breeding. We love raising the puppies and they've all turned out so well that we expanded into breeding for pet homes as well.
