I'm the breeder behind Black Cloud Kennels located in Atwater, CA. We are a small breeding operation that makes our dogs part of the family. We produce a few litters a year, and treat each very special. We believe the Labrador Retriever is a very exceptional breed, and strive to produce only the best puppies that embody those wonderful characteristics.

About Nichole
Black Cloud Kennels is a responsible breeder of AKC Labrador Retrievers in Central California. Our dogs are from American and British field lines. We strive to produce Labradors that not only excel in a family setting, but that also perform as amazing hunters in the field.
What makes Nichole’s program special
We strive to produce hunting Labradors that still have an “off” switch. Dogs that can excel in the field and have lots of drive, but that can also be family pets. Many of our puppy owners want a hunting buddy on the weekend, but they need a family pet during the week.

Getting a puppy from Nichole
Nichole has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices range from $1,500 and include a non-refundable deposit of $300.
“Our puppies are $1500 and come microchipped, with age appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, and vet checked. There is a $300 deposit required once we assign you to a litter.”
Contract and health guarantee
Nichole may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Nichole offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don’t hesitate to reach out to Nichole directly.
What's included
Enrichment and socialization
Our puppies receive Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and are highly socialized inside our home. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Potty Training, Crate Training, Socialized with Cats, Socialized with Adult Dogs, Socialized with Other Animals, Sound Stimulation, Early Neurological Stimulation, Touch Desensitization, Toys, e.g. Ball, Chew, e.g. Bone, and Structures, e.g. Climbing.
Puppy health practices
All our puppies are dewormed biweekly, receive all age appropriate vaccinations, and are vet checked before going home.
Extras
We send our puppies home with AKC Registration, Microchip, Toy with Littermates' Scent, Vaccinations, Puppy Collar, and Certificate of Health.
Bringing your puppy home
Nichole offers options to help you easily get your new puppy home.
Pick up your puppy in Atwater, CA or nearby
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.
“We are able to ship puppies safely and reliably nation wide. We utilize a team of flight nannies who ride in the cabin with the puppy and can meet you at the closest major airport. ”
Get your puppy dropped off to you
Work with a trusted flight nanny or transporter to get your puppy comfortably dropped off at an airport or meeting point close to home.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
D Locus (Dilute) DNA test, Full Embark Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
