I follow the Puppy Culture method. I believe it’s of the utmost importance to socialize puppies early and to keep them with their mothers till at least 8 weeks, if not longer. Depending on each puppy. I believe proper socialization and bonding with the mother and people early on is what creates a confident and loving dog. Studies have shown early socialization and staying with their mother and litter-mates till 8 weeks or more is beneficial and makes it much easier for puppies to transition into their new homes and have less anxiety and issues later on. Proper socialization and training early on make for happier and healthier puppies and dogs. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Puppy Culture .
All my mother dogs see a vet prior to giving birth for an X-ray and exam. My puppies are seen by a vet for all their care prior to going to their new homes. They are given age-appropriate vaccinations and worming as well as a wellness check and fecal exams by my vet before going home. All my puppies have a 5-year health guarantee against any genetic diseases. And pass health clearances from a licensed veterinarian prior to going home. I will not allow any of my puppies to leave until they are 8-10 weeks of age. I offer lifetime breeder support to all families.
Your puppy may come with extra benefits, like a small bag of food or a toy carrying the scent of their littermates. While Blossom Creek Aussies hasn’t shared specifics yet, we encourage you to reach out directly to learn what thoughtful extras they may include to help your puppy transition comfortably into their new home.
