Cross Keys K9 are recognized as AKC Bred with H.E.A.R.T. breeders and members of the German Shepherd Dog Club of America as well as the Gloucester County Kennel Club. Steve and Jacqui both love and keep German Shepherd dogs, parrots ,goats and horses. We are very involved with our communities, our clients and our rather extended GSD puppy and dog family. We love what we do!
What makes Jacqueline’s program special
We are dedicated to the working line German Shepherd Dog. It requires ongoing education and dedication to best practices as we hold ourselves to the highest standards. Breeding dogs/candidates are health tested for hips, elbows and genetic tests as available. We are a DM clear kennel therefore all breeding dogs are certified as carrying two normal copies of the gene.

Puppy prices range from $3,000 - $7,500 and include a refundable deposit of $750.
“All puppies are $3000 plus New Jersey state sales tax if the dog is picked up in New Jersey. Older puppies with training are $4,500 and up. We accept cash and all major credit cards. ”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Our puppies are socialized with the other dogs and animals around the ranch. We do a lot of environmental socialization such as introducing them to different flooring, textures, equipment, sounds, and people. Puppies are also temperament tested at 5 -7 weeks to ensure proper placement. Puppies are handled daily and early neurological stimulation applied. We also coordinate training to client specification. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Socialized with Adult Dogs, Sound Stimulation, Structures, e.g. Climbing, Touch Desensitization, Potty Training, Socialized with Other Animals, Household Desensitization, Early Neurological Stimulation, Toys, e.g. Ball, "No" Biting or Chewing, Crate Training, Sit Command, Basic manners, Name recognition , Behavioral shaping , Potty training, crate training, Noise desensitization, We start house training, Puppy temperament evaluation , neural stimulation, surface and tactile stimulation, and Initial House Training.
We guarantee all puppies are DM clear (N/N) from DM clear, fully Embarked and tested. All puppies are vaccinated and dewormed according to recommended veterinarian protocols.
We send our puppies home with Sound and texture enrichment, Early Neurological Stimulation, Our puppies are all sent home with welcome home bags and information. , Vaccinations, Breed Club Registration, Puppy Starter Kit, AKC Registration, Certificate of Health, and Food Starter Bag.

Why Jacqueline started breeding
Cross Keys K9 Inc. was started in 2010 when we recognized the need for dogs carefully bred for health, workability, and longevity in mind. We began our 15-year breeding program in 2010 and incorporated in 2013. Cross Keys K9 has produced over twenty litters with very nice results in both working and companion dogs.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA), Temperament Test
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
