I'm the breeder behind Cumberland German Shepherds located in Jamestown, KY. Our focus is purpose. We have produced athletic competitors, civil protection dogs, active companions, foundation dogs, and beautiful show prospects. Our focus is not service dogs, but on occasion do produce dogs capable of such. We welcome all to join our Cumberland German shepherds owners group on Facebook and follow us on Instagram to see some of these dogs in their various venues. We breed for strong working abilities and superb temperaments with an emphasis on excellent health, confidence, and correct conformation. We are passionate about our work and look forward to connecting with you!
About Jerri
Our kennel is not a one man team, we succeed best by working together. We take great pride and have immense love for our dogs and this begins from the start. Rather than requiring an online application we have moved to phone call or in person interviews. The amount of detail can not be matched from speaking with someone directly compared to a written format. If you have interest in our program, I encourage you to give us a call or schedule a time to chat.
What makes Jerri’s program special
Our breeding program strives to maintain the unique characteristics of the breed while placing an emphasis on producing German Shepherds of the best versatility, health, temperament, and conformation. Before breeding, all dogs are thoroughly health tested, temperament tested, and researched. Our puppies are den whelped, temperament tested, raised with puppy culture, vetted, microchipped and assessed for compatibility before placement. We are happy to provide extensive knowledge and guidance for anyone looking to welcome one of these wonderful dogs. We have an online community committed solely to the owners of our dogs and those interested in potentially owning one, we welcome anyone to join the group who may be interested in learning about what we have produced, their owners experiences and the dogs accomplishments.

You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Puppy prices range from $2,000 - $3,500 and include a non-refundable deposit of $500.
“Color, gender, and coat length do not impact the price. Deposits are standard regardless of which litter. The deposit is $500. Deposits are transferable to another litter if the appropriate puppy is not produced in the initial breeding.”
Jerri may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. I utilize different stimulation techniques depending on what type of litter is being raised. All puppies will be challenged to their intended abilities and socialized appropriately. Potty training is started on all litters. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Volhard Temperament Test, Potty Training, Early Neurological Stimulation, Various People, Socialized with Other Animals, Socialized with Adult Dogs, and Puppy Culture.
Puppies are dewormed, vaccinated, have dewclaws removed, are microchipped, and receive a veterinary exam before going to their new homes.
We send our puppies home with Early Neurological Stimulation, Sound and texture enrichment, Dew claws removed, Microchipped , Food Starter Bag, Puppy Leash, Puppy Collar, Photos, Lifetime Breeder Support, Vaccinations, AKC Registration, and Volhard Personality Test.
Why Jerri started breeding
It started with a passion for the breed. When searching for our own dogs we found it to be so difficult to speak to knowledgeable breeders who could match accordingly, let alone had a thorough understanding of what it was they actually possessed. Through years of frustration and training our own dogs we found a great need to share our knowledge and breed for the standards that made this breed so incredible. With great personal investment we decided to make the commitment to give back to the community by producing from dogs who truly have something to offer for the Breeds future.
