I'm the breeder behind CV Kennel located in Amanda, OH. We are a simple, family-run breeding program offering affordable loving and loyal companions to others. Our giants are not bred to win a conformation show or to have super high working dog energy, but don't be fooled they have enough energy to drive you completely crazy some days. they are bred for outstanding physical and mental health and are bred to the giant schnauzer standard. Our dogs make great protection/working pets for the family or single person. Our dogs aren't just pets,they're family.

I believe in owning and breeding only healthy dogs. I health test and run full dna health panels on all of my dogs, the results guide me in deciding what individuals go forward. I also believe heavily in genetic diversity and the importance of breeding as much diversity as possible.

Getting a puppy from Harold
Harold has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices range from $2,000 - $2,500 and include a non-refundable deposit of $100.
“** $2150 price is for puppies picked up at 8 weeks of age. . Deposit refunds depend on the situation. To be determined by the breeder.”
Contract and health guarantee
Harold may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. What's included
Enrichment and socialization
Puppies will be very socialized as they are raised in our home around 14 grandkids. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Socialized with other animals, Socialized with other dogs, Daily handling, Socialized in new places, Various sounds, Car rides, Socialized with children, Surface & tactile stimulation, Introduced to people of different ages and appearances, Noise desensitization, Behavioral shaping , Crate Training, "No" Biting or Chewing, and Potty Training.
Puppy health practices
All puppies will have a vet exam and will come with health papers.
Extras
We send our puppies home with Vet records, Initial potty training, Basic obedience & manners, Registration, Microchip, Certificate of Health, Food Starter Bag, Our puppies are all sent home with welcome home bags and information. , Vaccinations, Dew claws removed, and AKC Registration.
Bringing your puppy home

Pick up your puppy in Amanda, OH or nearby
If you’re nearby, you can visit in person to pick up your pup. If you’re far away, you can travel by car or plane.

Get your puppy dropped off to you
Work with a trusted flight nanny or transporter to get your puppy comfortably dropped off at an airport or meeting point close to home.

I've been around dogs my entire adult life. I've raised working Australian Shepards and Dobermans over the years. The giant schnauzer has always been a dog I've loved so I made the commitment to go forward.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
DNA Disease Panel, Full Embark Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
