I'm the breeder behind Daily Dobermans located in Sonoita, AZ. Daily Dobermans is located on 36 acres in the rural town of Sonoita in Southeast Arizona. We have had Dobermans throughout our lives and started breeding 10 years ago. Our goal is to produce healthy, happy Dobermans that adhere to the AKC Standard. In our breeding choices, we look to increase diversity, longevity, and health. Hence, our dobermans are a blend of European, South American and American bloodlines. They are bred with good bone, strong prey drive and excellent temperaments.
About Kathy
I had Dobermans in the family growing up and then married my husband in 1980 who had a Doberman. After many years he persuaded me to get another one. That was in 2008 and I have continued to learn and love the breed ever since. Starting with Euro bred I wanted to per sue AKC Conformation. I had my first show litter in 2017 which produced Conformation Champions and Agility Champions.
What makes Kathy’s program special
Diversity, plain and simple. I am big proponent of Better Bred and the VGL Davis program. My breeding choices reflect this. Other long time breeders don't give any credence to Diversity. Dobermans have developed many health issues and I feel that we have to do something. Time will tell if breeding for diversity will make a difference but it won't hurt to try. In addition complete health testing.

I do the sensitization protocol at 3 to 16 days, I have temperament tested at 7 weeks and have screened visitors, different tactile play equipment. In the past I have been so concerned about taking them off the property prior to all shots. However, I have learned that there are critical phases in their growth that would benefit from branching out a bit more.
The see the vet at two days for a check-up and tail docking. I used to worm routinely every two weeks but now I will worm once and then take stool samples in. I don't want to over medicate. They receive all of their puppy shots except 16-week rabies since they go home at 12 weeks. This is after the stitches from their ear crop (done at 8-10 weeks) have healed.
We send our puppies home with Puppy Pack, including initial posting supplies, collar, leash, scent blanket, AKC registration..

Why Kathy started breeding
Because I loved our male so much and his temperament was exceptional. I health tested and found he was very good. He passed our WAE as well. He was not the most beautiful dog but I felt there were too many positives to not use him. We had a wonderful first litter, all are happy in their homes. The second litter was even better. Now I am hoping for my 3rd in early 2021.
