I'm the breeder behind Diane Monte located in Dracut, MA. I'm breeding to breed standards. Not only for show quality but top-quality in obedience and family pets. My dogs are DNA tested. I carefully choose the sire and dam in order to produce the best quality possible. I do everything I can to ensure the puppies have everything they need to develop into healthy and happy dogs.

What's included

Enrichment and socialization

I have kids come over to socialize with my puppies outside in the yard. I expose them to different sounds and surfaces as well. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Sound Stimulation, Household Desensitization, Outdoors, e.g. rain, and Socialized with Children.

Puppy health practices

All of my pups get their first exam and tails docked at 3 days, deworming at 6 weeks, a physical, and vaccinations at 8 weeks.

Excellent level

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • Full Embark Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
