Dunn's Farm Corgis

Meet the breeder

I'm the breeder behind Dunn's Farm Corgis located in Smethport, PA. All of our dogs are essentially our babies. We love them. We play with them. We take them with us. They are our family. I truly strive to responsibly breed healthy and sound AKC Pembroke Welsh Corgis. Our dogs are all registered with the American Kennel Club. We do not keep our dogs in an outdoor kennel. Every corgi you see on our site lives in our house as a part of our family.

Jeanette’s experience

  • About Jeanette

I have been breeding Corgis since 2008. I love the breed and what I do. My husband, 3 kids, and I live on 16 acres where my dogs are all a part of the family. They go camping with us also. We are very family-oriented and animal lovers. I am full-time at home to care for our animals and pups as well as a sports chauffeur to 3 teenagers. I feel that my families deserve a healthy happy pup.

  • What makes Jeanette’s program special

I do DNA testing on my dogs, the pups are raised in my home. I microchip, have a deworming program, vaccinate, and feed a quality dog/puppy food. I don't ship a pup off with my families and say goodbye. They become part of my "Corgi" family. We all keep in touch, share pics, etc. I also have a webcam for families to watch their pups grow. I do what I wished others did when I get pups.

What's included

Enrichment and socialization

Once the pups are old enough to leave the whelping box I set up an area in my kitchen where they stay until they are ready to go home. I let them out to run around the kitchen, I take them outside to play and for potty time. We also give one on one time and take them out into my living room. I play with them, work with them on nail trimming, etc. I utilize the following enrichment methods: "No" Biting or Chewing, Puppy Manners, and Human Interactions .

Puppy health practices

All pups have their dewclaws removed and tails docked unless a family would like their pup to keep his/her tail. They are all vaccinated at 6 weeks with a 5 way vaccine. I start deworming with Nemex 2 at 2 and 4 weeks. I then deworm with Safeguard/Panacur c at 6 weeks.

Extras

Your puppy may come with extra benefits, like a small bag of food or a toy carrying the scent of their littermates. While Dunn's Farm Corgis hasn’t shared specifics yet, we encourage you to reach out directly to learn what thoughtful extras they may include to help your puppy transition comfortably into their new home.

More about Jeanette

  • Why Jeanette started breeding

Over 13 years ago I wanted a small dog. My hubby said no to a Papillion. He said he would go as small as a Corgi. I researched Pembrokes and Cardigans. I decided the Pembroke was for me. I had always wanted to breed dogs. I fell in love with the breed!
