I'm the breeder behind FiveStar BMDs located in Redwood City, CA. My focus is on maintaining the Bernese Mountain Dog standard by raising structurally sound, well tempered and healthy pups. I am a small breeder allowing me to give each of my puppies, dogs, and breedings the proper care and attention they each deserve. I am dedicated to providing happy, healthy, and well-socialized pups for others to welcome into their family. I love my pups and know you will love them, too!

Why Carol started breeding
On a drunken moment! Just kidding. My stud dog, who was nationally ranked, was used at stud on a few occasions. After I retired him, I then started breeding. I did not breed when he was showing as I traveled everywhere with him although I had very reputable handlers. I did not think it would be fair to a litter of puppies to have a litter and be on the show trail
