What's included

Enrichment and socialization

If we can enhance that relationship in any way, we’re going to do it! Here are a few of our protocols in place to live up to that standard of care. We follow Puppy Culture’s program that instills the same virtues that we believe in. We start working with the puppies at 3-days-old. When they’re this old, they cannot see or hear. We start specific exercises that produce stimulations that wouldn’t naturally occur this early in life. We do this from Day 3 to Day 16 for 5 seconds each. Amazingly enough, these little exercises have been proven to build stronger heartbeats, stronger adrenal glands, improve cardiovascular performance, increase tolerance to stress and build a greater resistance to disease. After Day 16, their eyes start to open, and they go from a crawl to a wobble. At this point it’s time for a designated potty spot in their whelping bed. Once the puppies can walk and eat solid food, we focus on 7-key things until they leave us to go be with their new families. We start communicating with the babies while they’re in the womb. Just like a lot of dads do with their pregnant wives, we start building relationships early. We want them to know our voices and guess what? They do! We teach the puppies to recover from fear or stress. What do we do? We start by creating loud noises. For example: Vacuum cleaners, slamming doors, pots and pans, dropping books, loud TV etc. We also play the following sounds: fireworks, gunshots, ambulances, firetrucks and thunderstorms. We also add soothing sounds for the babies to stimulate their brains! We play Mozart and Beethoven for them at night while they sleep. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Doggy door trained, We expose our puppies to many different sounds (doorbells, fireworks, barking dogs, children playing, men talking, horns, motorcycles, etc.). By doing this it helps to desensitize them to many things which may otherwise trigger a negative response in puppies., Volhard Temperamento Test, Around 2 weeks of age we introduce new objects, change the environment, introduce people (strangers, elderly, kids) and other dogs (puppy & adult) to expose the puppy to as many new experiences as possible, We practice Puppy Culture, a program that conditions your puppy with early neurological stimulation and socializing techniques that reduce stress and fear for the development of a healthy, happy puppy, Explore outside, Neurological stimulation, socialized with my other pets and kids, Adult and children socializing , Noise Desensitized, gun shots, intro to shallow pool, water in warm weather, Raised in home with dogs, kids, cats ect, Bathing, grooming and nail trimming., Learning healthy fear response, Learning healthy stress response, handled daily introduced to sounds touch , Exploring items and obstacles such as an umbrella, crutches, a walker. , neighbors who come by , We do NOT take them out in public, they're not fully vaccinated until 16 weeks, but we do have friends and family who help with "daily playtime"., the starting of house breaking, Dog Door Training, And showed lots of love, Puppy evaluations at age 9 or 10 weeks, Exposure to various items to retrieve including metal, positive experiences in all situations, start of puppy recall with treats, Social, Socializing the dog with everything is the key to a stable dog, Structures, e.g. Climbing, Car Rides, Clicker training, also have lots of friends and family who come over to handle the puppies and help out with the puppies daily.
