Meet the breeder

I'm the breeder behind Golden Ratio Retrievers located in San Martin, CA. We are a small, selective breeder of English Golden Retrievers. We aim to produce service and therapy dog prospects, as well as well rounded family pets, so temperament is at the top of our list. We only breed dogs that have excellent health, longevity and full testing across multiple generations.

Faun’s experience

  • About Faun

I grew up in Colorado, spending all my free time with the animals I was blessed to take care of. I am a huge animal lover, and I remember wanting to do animal assisted therapy when I grew up. I'm thankful that I get to do just that now! Shiloh and I visit schools, senior care centers, the SJC airport, hospitals and more. She is a huge blessing! I'm honored to breed her to continue her legacy!

  • What makes Faun’s program special

I've received mentoring from some amazing and experienced breeders, which has guided our decision process in which dogs to include in the program. We use dogs from imported stock, and we only consider dogs with complete testing clearances demonstrating health and longevity. Our top priority is temperament as we want to produce service and therapy dog prospects, as well as well rounded family pets.

Getting a puppy from Faun

Faun has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies. You'll also have the chance to share a bit about yourself and what you're looking for in a new companion. Together, you'll choose the puppy that's right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices range from $3,500 - $4,500 and include a non-refundable deposit of $500.

“The price includes AKC limited registration, microchip, fist round of vaccines, deworming, socialization, and lifelong support from the breeder. The deposit allows you to reserve a puppy and is non refundable as it takes that puppy off the market and we want to be sure you're serious. The deposit can be transferred once to a future litter.”

Contract and health guarantee

Faun may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Faun offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don’t hesitate to reach out to Faun directly.

More about Faun

  • Why Faun started breeding

My parents raised Goldens as I was growing up, and I fell in love with the dogs and the process. I enjoy being able to do something good for other people, and I believe Goldens are a very special breed that can uniquely meet the needs of many people. I love most dogs, and I've owned several different breeds myself, but Goldens are a step above in my experience.
